Is Dr. Mengele is in Charge of our Health?

Who is in charge of our health? Dr. Mengele?

Josef_Mengele

As our collective health is in decline we look to older cultures for guidance in matters of health, nutrition and exercise. We seek out and embrace the Mediterranean diet, Chinese herbal remedies and Accupuncture, Ayurvedic medicine, Native North American Indian cures, African medicine men, South American Shamans to name just a few. In the meantime our visits to the doctor’s offices are increasing. We look for the long term benefit of a more “traditional” diet with the immediate intervention of a modern medicine if anything should go wrong. These two concurrent goals are not possible because they are contrary to each other. The only time where we see traditional health plans and modern medical intervention able to co-exist for a brief moment in time is during extreme emergency medical situations.

More is not better

Instead we add more traditional health, diet, medical cures without removing the constant contact with modern medical care. Modern medicine has evolved from Hippocrates “do no harm” to “your doctor has determined the positive benefit of this medicine outweigh the negative side effects that may be caused by talking this medicine”

Our increased scientific knowledge and medical research capabilities, have given us the benefit of immediate intervention to every conceivable disease or injury. We have made the doctor and the nurse our constant companions throughout our lives from birth to death and every single step in between.

Sleep is the best medicine

How is it possible for someone living in a rural setting in the Hellenic republic to live over 100 years of age without ever seeing a doctor? They live in close proximity with their animals, goats, chickens and even pigs and yet do not get sick. They do not catch a cold, or flu or any other type of common disease and they do not take antibiotics. What is their secret?

Giannis pictured below has never been to a doctor! He is a picture of health and vitality at age 84. I am the guy on the left; I was 56 when this picture was taken. I eat the way he eats but work a lot less…

84 years old

Peaceful sleep. There is more value in a good night’s sleep than in all the medicines in your medicine cabinet. In fact sleep is the greatest healer of all time. It was a key ingredient in Hellenic period healing and recuperation treatments. How many doctors today prescribe sleep instead of antibiotics? No time for sleep you need to get back to work; you are fed the lie that taking the antibiotic or pain killer and going back to work will do you less harm than sleeping it off.

Who is in charge of our health care Dr. Mengele? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josef_Mengele Former Auschwitz prisoner Alex Dekel has said: “To Dr. Mengele they were subjects, not patients; clinical material, not sick people.”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuskegee_syphilis_experiment In 1972 the Tuskegee Study was brought to public and national attention by a whistleblower, who gave information to the Washington Star and the New York Times. Heller of PHS still defended the ethics of the study, stating: “The patients did not count. The men’s status did not warrant ethical debate.” He professed to do what he did in the name of science, but it was a madness on his part.

It seems we are all part of a grand Tuskegee style experiment now. “We are the subjects, not patients; clinical material, not sick people.”

Like the Tuskegee Study they have to make us sick first before they offer the “your doctor has determined the positive benefit of this medicine outweigh the negative side effects that may be caused by talking this medicine”

Antibiotics and vaccines do more harm than good

It has been clinically proven and is an accepted fact among medical researchers and doctors that antibiotics actually increase the potential for devastating vaccine resistant strains of viruses. Despite the overwhelming evidence and increased possibility of this fast approaching pandemic disaster, the medical establishment and their pharmaceutical overseers continue to pump increasingly more antibiotics and vaccines into our veins. They are polluting our bodies and our minds with their rush to higher and higher profits under the guise of modern medical care.

Leaderless democracy

Our political leaders are paralyzed by the ever increasing money supply to lobbyists and their own campaigns for re-election. They are unable to create a rational legislation, have lost the will to seek deep change and inspire the electorate and then actually go out and deliver on their promises.

Political leadership is a wasteland of broken promises and lies. They seek votes and will say anything they have to get elected. Even the rare and exceptional case of a new leader who actually does wholeheartedly believe and is honestly committed to delivering on all his promises, gets sidetracked and “spins” out of control and lands in the ditch of lost political dreams. Once they come into power they are confronted with a de facto situation that needs immediate intervention, and they go from one emergency situation to another.

This is how our government is run; in emergency room mode. Try going to an emergency room and getting anyone to listen about how this and that can be prevented if only they had not taken antibiotics or the medicine that was “determined by their doctor to be the lesser of two evils”. They have created the reality/ruse of constant and ongoing emergency situations in order to thwart any long term solutions to our basic health, nutrition and prosperity problems.

Less and less leisure time

Our modern technology promised us more leisure time but has given us sleep deprived constant contact with work on the go solutions and work around the clock efficiency in our factories. By splitting our work schedule they split us up from our community, family and other health benefitting activities. Long term disability claims are increasing not only because the damage inflicted by our modern job schedules, but also because people are looking for ways out of their predicament. Some actually seek out disability as a strategy for living.

I could go on and on denouncing the modern medical establishment and their political friends but maybe I will save some of that for later.

Simple ingredients for optimum health

On a more positive note here is a very accessible and cheap “do no harm” medicine that could change your life! Animals love it and so should you. Barley and Spelt

Let Food be thy Medicine and let Medicine be thy Food

Barley was the main grain of the Hellenic diet in ancient Athens.

They even passed laws banning the use of wheat except on holidays.

They knew wheat was bad for you, why is it we are only finding out now?

Ask the wheat and corn lobbyists of the North American agribusiness interests

BARLEY

“ Based on the available evidence, FDA concluded that consuming whole grain barley and dry milled barley products that provide at least 3 grams of beta-glucan soluble fiber per day, is effective in lowering blood total and LDL cholesterol; ”

A cup of cooked barley provides 66.2% of the daily value for selenium. Selenium is an essential component of several major metabolic pathways, including thyroid hormone metabolism, antioxidant defense systems, and immune function.

Selenium has been shown to induce DNA repair and synthesis in damaged cells, to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells, and to induce their apoptosis, the self-destruct sequence the body uses to eliminate worn out or abnormal cells.

Barley provides food for friendly bacteria in the large intestine. These bacteria create 3 short chain fatty acids called butyric acid, propionic and acetic acid which are used as fuel by the cells of the large intestine, liver and muscles. These friendly bacteria play another role in crowding out the disease causing bacteria by preventing them from surviving in the intestinal tract.

Barley also decreases the risk of colon cancer and hemorrhoids.

Best served boiled in soup, or broth and breads in combination with Spelt.

SPELT

It is estimated that in 1910 there were 600, 000 acres of Spelt harvested in the US alone.  In the 1970’s there were almost none. In the 1920s it was mainly Agribusiness interests that decided to shift to the more easily harvested modern wheat which has been bred to be easier to grow and harvest, to increase yield, and to have a high gluten content, important in high-volume commercial baked goods. This is the origin of modern junk food production; the grand experiment of failure that has destroyed countless lives and left most of us partially disabled and in need of constant care and medical attention till the day we die.

Epidemic of extreme allergies especially among children, cancers, and other unheard off diseases now becoming common even in newborns. This is the other crop that Agribusiness decided to remove from our diet and replace it with mass production of Junk food: Spelt

The grain has remained popular in Europe, where it is known as Farro in Italy, and Dinkle in Germany. It is often referred to as “German Wheat” in North America due to its association with the Pennsylvania Dutch who continue to grow the grain.

Two ounces of spelt contain 10 grams of protein; White wheat flour contains 2.74 grams.

Spelt contains 5.7 grams of fiber; White wheat flour less than 1.8 grams.

Spelt contains special carbohydrates (Mucopolysaccharides) which are important as a blood clotting factor and are known to stimulate our immune system and it also contains large amounts of B complex vitamins.

The sturdy husk of the kernel protects it from pollutants and insects, lending itself to organic production.  The husk also enhances the kernel’s  retention of nutrients and improves freshness. In fact, spelt was less affected by Chernobyl’s fall-out than any other crop.

The flavor is far more robust and best described as nutty. Finally, spelt has a high water solubility which allows its nutrients to be absorbed by the body better.  The added advantage to this is that although spelt does contain gluten (lower amounts than in wheat flour), it tends to be more digestible, even for those who are gluten-sensitive.

Best served boiled in soups or broth, or in breads with Barley
